The JKUAT Computing Department, in its present form, formally started as the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology (ICSIT) in 1998 when it admitted the first batch of B.Sc. Computer Science students. ICSIT was itself an offshoot of the Department of Mathematics that previously offered service teaching in computing related courses to all other university departments. INTERNAL ATTACHMENT for CS & CT Cohort(May-Aug.2024).
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the May-August internal attachment program for our 2nd-year students from the Computer Science (CS) and Computer Technology (CT) departments. This period of immersive learning and hands-on experience has come to a close as of August 2nd, 2024. Throughout the attachment period, our students have demonstrated exemplary skills and growth. They have engaged in a variety of projects, enhancing their technical acumen and problem-solving abilities. The practical experience gained during this attachment has significantly contributed to their professional development, equipping them with valuable skills and knowledge applicable to their future careers.
