BSc. Biomechanical and Process Engineering

The programme aims at producing specialized engineers in mechanization of production systems and bio-process engineering. This program therefore produces engineers trained to have core competence in;  Energy resources management, Bio-processing systems design, and Design and production of bio-processing machines and structures.

This program therefore produces engineers trained to have core competence in; Agricultural machinery, Energy resources management, Bio-processing systems design, and Design and production of bio-processing machines and structures.

Graduates from this program are employed in various organizations such as agro-based industries, food processing plants, NGOs , machinery  manufacturers and dealers, construction companies research institutions, Government ministries, UN agencies etc.

Admission Requirements

Must have a minimum aggregate of C+ (plus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and should have a minimum grade of C+ (plus) in each of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics: OR C+ (plus) in each of the following subjects; Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Geography or any of the group IV subjects OR

Must have a diploma in agricultural Engineering or Biomechanical and Processing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant diploma, with credit and above from a recognized institution.
