The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (IT) course is intended to provide students with a wide range of software, technical and technological ICT skills required by industry.
The program is anchored on the philosophy of producing scholars and practitioners with a range of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) knowledge and skills to offer competitive leadership for the national and international market, and cultivating positive attitude towards ICT knowledge and its dynamics in a view to produce graduates capable of adapting to the changing global needs.
ENTRY CRITERIA
- KCSE mean grade C+ (plus) and grades C (plain) in Mathematics and English. OR
- KACE certificate with 2 Principal and 1 subsidiary passes, and a minimum of credit pass in Mathematics at KCE. OR
- Diploma in Information Technology with a pass from JKUAT OR
- Diploma in relevant discipline with a Credit pass from an institution recognized by University Senate.
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BScIT) Year II
BSCIT Year 2 : Diploma in Information Technology with a Credit pass from JKUAT.
ESSENTIALS:
Distance learning mode: online application for admission is a subject to verification of certified original testimonials during registration and orientation period done in each semester.
MODE OF STUDY:
- Distance learning: Online tuition, two (2) online CATs, one (1) sit-in CAT towards the end of semester, and one end of semester examinations.
- Duration : 3 years

Payment by Instalments: – Registration requires that a student pays 50% of the tuition fees plus 100% of other applicable charges.
