Prof. Urbanus N. Mutwiwa

Prof. Urbanus N. Mutwiwa (Dean from 2009-2017) was the founding Dean having steered the then Biomechanical and Environmental Engineering Department (BEED), to grow to the fifth School within College of Engineering and Technology (COETEC ), established with two departments namely Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department (ABED) and the Soil, Water and Environmental Engineering Department (SWEED). In his view, SOBEE’s mandate is to work towards understanding and managing the complex interactions between environment (water), energy and food, all of which are essential for life and sustainable development. He continues to serve as an Associate Professor, with research interests in sustainable production systems.
