Director’s Welcome

JKUAT is a premiere university that offers varied opportunities for postgraduate’s studies in the fields of Agriculture, Engineering, Technology, Enterprise Development, Built Environment, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and other Applied Sciences. The Graduate School (GS) strongly recommend students in the final stages of their undergraduate education and those who gained experience in various capacities after receiving their bachelor’s degree, to continue with their studies to enrich and broaden the knowledge gained in undergraduate education with a graduate degree that will allow them to specialize in an area or subject of their interest. Our graduate programs aim to train critical thinkers, individuals who are able to contribute to the domestic and international human resources needs, who can participate in local, national and global developments, and apply their knowledge and experience in the fields of their careers. We believe that graduate degree holders will stand out as well-sought employees in the professional world and they will also continue their personal lives as individuals who are able to think in more innovative and creative ways. Our graduates are known to create employment in the local market through various startups.

The Graduate School  provides  professional  support  services  to  all  JKUAT  postgraduate  students,  (including  international  postgraduate  students)  during  their  postgraduate  lifecycle   from  application  to  graduation. The  GS  collaborates  closely  with  each  of  the deans of schools and institute directors     in addressing  the  needs  of  postgraduate  students.  It also carries oversight and quality assurance responsibilities, especially for cross-cutting institutional matters relating to postgraduate qualifications, funding, capacity-development, and postgraduate student supervision as well as examination.
