JKUAT TVET institute is in the process of formalizing recognition of its additional five (5) programs following the assessment of the programs by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) against the set standards and guidelines which was carried out on February 19, 2025.

The assessment was conducted in response to the increasing demand for TVET courses, highlighting the need for more specialized programs to better meet the evolving requirements of both the industry and students.

The visit by TVETA team which followed a similar assessment conducted on October 31, 2022, focused on the accreditation of Level 6 (Diploma) programs, including Health Records and Information Technology, Community Health, Construction Management, Cyber Security, and Computer Science.

As the Institute continues to expand both in student enrollment and the breadth of its offerings, the exercise marked a significant milestone in its ongoing journey toward academic excellence and greater program diversity.

The assessment featured constructive discussions, emphasizing a shared commitment to academic excellence as well as highlighted the strengths of the programs and opportunities for further improvement.

TVETA team included Ms. Janice K. Bogita, Senior Outreach Services Officer, Mr. Japheth Ngeno, Assistant Director, Accreditation, and Mr. Mohamed Bonaya, SHRMOL, HRM.
