All awards were determined using Scival–Scopus, a research analytics tool that evaluates scholarly output and impact using data from Scopus, one of the largest databases of peer-reviewed literature. KENET used this platform to objectively assess research performance for the 2022–2024 period.

The awards were celebrated during the University Management Board (UMB) meeting on 15 December 2025, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Victoria Wambui Ngumi, who lauded the outstanding performance of the University and its staff saying “The outstanding performance emphasizes JKUAT’s significant contributions to research, innovation, and academic excellence.”
