Intra/inter School Transfer (Change of Course)

How to Check if You Qualify for a Course:

(i) Go to https://students.kuccps.net/
(ii) Login using: your index number as username, exam year and password used during registration (Use Your Birth Certificate No./ KCPE Index No (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as your Initial Password)
(iii) After login, click on Institutions then select JKUAT from the list of Institutions.
(iv) All the courses are displayed here. Click on the course you want to transfer to. Your cluster weight will be displayed on the last column far left side.
(v) Compare your cluster weight above with the 2024 cutoff on the first column. If the cluster weight is equal to or greater than the 2024 cut-off and you also meet the required cluster subjects required then you qualify for the course.
(vi) If your cluster weight is less than the 2024 cut-off or you DO NOT meet the cluster subjects, then you DO NOT qualify for that course and therefore, you should NOT request for change to that course.

How To Change the Course in the Admission System:

Once you have confirmed that you qualify, go to https://admission.jkuat.ac.ke/login login and go to step 10 and follow the instructions given to apply online for the change of course.
NB:
Kindly enter correct and accurate details (kcse index, exam year, kuccps password).
Make sure you first confirm the current GOK/KUCCPS cut-off points for the course you want to transfer to since you can ONLY apply once.
This change of course is ONLY applicable to GOK/KUCCPS to GOK/KUCCPS and GOK/KUCCPS to Self-sponsored students.
For Self-sponsored to Self-sponsored, kindly apply manually through the Dean of the School.
The portal is open from Friday, 5th September to Wednesday 10th September 2025.
The capacity per programme will determine how many more students can be allowed to join.
The decision made by the Deans’ Committee after the application process will be final.
Kindly note that all applications for the change of course will attract a non- refundable fee of one thousand shillings (KSh.1, 000.00) payable to Kenya Commercial Bank, Account number 1107586127.
Finally, present the bank payment slip to the Finance Department (Cash Office) and obtain a University receipt, which you must upload to the system to complete your application.

NOTE: All applications are subject to approval by KUCCPS.
