In line with the Division’s vision to be ” A University of Global Excellence in Research and Innovation for Sustainable Development” which is anchored on that of the University, I envision Research, Production and Extension (RPE) as a division with state-of-the-art facilities,with seasoned and motivated researchers, Research and Innovation Managers.

The research arm of the division need to be strengthened through Multidisciplinary and Multi-insitutional research. There is need for stronger linkages between innovators and researchers with industry. Digitilization of activities and processes in the division will go a long way to increase efficiency in the operations of the division. There is need to strengthen resource mobilization through writing proposals for grants and bidding for consultancies, as well as commercialization of research and innovation outputs.

The University farms should produce enough food to feed the University Community and seel surplus to the neighbouring community

The division should play a key role in internationalization of the University through collaboration with other organizations across the globe. Community outreach and technology transfer will be strengthened through various activities.
