Introduction:
Senate Secretariate and Outreach section provides administrative, advisory and secretarial support, to the University Senate and the following sub-committees of Senate; Deans Committee, Students Welfare and Bursary Committee and Space Allocation Committee.
The office is domiciled in the Academic Division of the university under the leadership of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs).

The office is supervised by Registrar (Academic Affairs) and headed by a Deputy Registrar (Senate Secretariate and Outreach).

Vision:
To facilitate the University, attain global excellence in Training, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for development.

Mission:
To excel in provision of senate secretariate services to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the overall administration, planning and development of the University.

Functions:

  1. To provide administrative, advisory and secretarial support to senate and the following sub-committees of senate; Deans Committee, Student Welfare and Bursary Committee, and Space Allocation Committee;
  2. Enhance co-ordination of Senate Committees;
  3. Organize committee meetings under Deputy Vice chancellor Academic Affairs;
  4. Serve as a repository of information on matters relating to the university.

  1. Ensure our services are delivered in accordance with the University Statutes, Service Charter and Kenya Constitution.
  2. Ensure modernization of the services offered by adoption of modern technologies and innovative service delivery systems to improve service delivery.
  3. Ensure professionalism, transparency and accountability in provision of services by showing courtesy, integrity and neutrality.
