Message from the Deputy Registrar Admissions
The admissions office falls under the Registrar Academic Affairs.
This Section is responsible for the admissions of all undergraduate regular (Government Sponsored) and self-sponsored students and managing students’ matters in consultation with the Registrar, Academic Affairs. We are keen on increasing student admission and retention within the approved policy and strategic framework.

As the demand for higher education continues to increase tremendously, the Admissions office continues to play its strategic role of improving access to quality, relevance and equality to undergraduate education to all qualified applicants. Admission to any programme is done according to the laid down procedures. Admission options available to prospective students are as follows:
- Undergraduate (Government of Kenya sponsored) students are admitted each year through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), a State Corporation that provides career guidance and selects students for admission into the Universities for Government of Kenya-sponsored programmes. These are mostly KCSE candidates who are normally admitted in September of each year, at the JKUAT main campus in JUJA and for Law Programme at Karen Campus.
- Undergraduate (Self-Sponsored) students are admitted to various programmes each year in all JKUAT Campuses. The applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements for each programme.

Apart from JKUAT Main Campus which is located at Juja, other JKUAT campuses where self-sponsored students are admitted are: Nairobi CBD Campus, Karen Campus, Mombasa CBD Campus and Nakuru CBD Campus. Using campus approach, JKUAT has extended educational opportunity to your doorstep across the country.
