The University of Botswana through the Department of Computer Science hosted the 2nd Data, Information and Scientific Visualization Symposium in Africa (VizAfrica) organized jointly with CODATA and JKUAT from 18th-19th November 2019, at the University of Botswana Conference Centre, Gaborone. The first conference was held in 20-21 August 2018 Nairobi, Kenya, organized by CODATA Kenya and the ICT Centre of Open Data (iCEOD), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

The theme of the symposium was “Application of Data, Information and Scientific Visualization for Resource Management and Sustainability.”

JKUAT, CODATA and the organizing committee wish to announce that VizAfrica 2020 Visualization Symposium that was to be co-located with the IODC in Nairobi has been postponed to 2021 due to the current coronavirus pandemic. We will update you when more details are available.
