Dr. Kinsuk Mani Sinha, a post-doctoral fellow of the Delft Global Initiative,  Netherlands paid a courtesy call to the Director, DIPUIL on 18th September, 2017 to share information and skills in promotion of innovation for research and development. Dr Sihna is conducting a study on the state of innovation in the region. She was accompanied by an Administrative Officer from RPE, Carolyne Olweny.

Intellectual Property Management Benchmarking Team from National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) of Uganda visited JKUAT Main Campus on 4th July, 2017 and met with the Director, DIPUIL. The meeting was held in IPIC Boardroom and covered issues on IP Management, extension and technology transfer in the University. The Ugandan Team was headed by Dr. Imelda N. The Director, DIPUIL attended and presented a paper on the state of IP Management in JKUAT at the KAREN CAMPUS, NAIROBI, KENYA on 14th July, 2017. He was accompanied by the University Patent Drafting Officer, Fred Otswong’o who presented a paper on the challenges facing public universities in preparation and drafting of patent claims.
