Our Mandate

The Directorate has the following mandate:

1. To oversee and manage the University’s functions of performance contracting
2. To ensure implementation of the University’s strategic plan
3. To maintain a working contact with other University organs/officers on corporate planning, performance contracting and appraisal matters
4. To represent the University at national, regional and international fora on performance contracting and appraisal
5. To facilitate preparation, signing and evaluation of performance appraisals
6. To facilitate pre-negotiation, negotiation and vetting of performance targets
7. To facilitate signing of annual performance contracts with the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology
8. To facilitate cascading and signing of performance contracts within the University
9. To collate, review and submit periodical performance reports to relevant Government agencies
10. To facilitate end of year performance contract evaluation
