JKUAT TVET Institute is working to formalize the recognition of five additional programs after an assessment by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) on February 19, 2025. This review was prompted by the growing demand for specialized TVET courses to meet industry and student needs.

The assessment focused on accrediting Level 6 (Diploma) programs in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Community Health, Health Records and Information Technology and Construction Management. As the Institute continues to expand, the assessment marked an important step in its pursuit of academic excellence and program diversification. The assessment highlighted both the strengths of the programs and areas for further improvement.

The TVETA team included Ms. Janice K. Bogita, Mr. Japheth Ngeno, and Mr. Mohamed Bonaya, while JKUAT management was represented by Prof. Robert Kinyua, Prof. Jackson Kwanza, Prof. Hellen Mberia, and Dr. Fridah Simba.
