Head of Department

The Information Systems (IS) Department is responsible for the development, customization, deployment, and continuous improvement of all information systems across the University and its campuses. Its scope of work includes the development or acquisition, implementation, and rollout of systems; resolving system-related issues; and creating innovative solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. The Department also oversees the monitoring and performance tuning of key information systems, the documentation of systems, management of email services, preparation of user manuals and system reports, and the administration of web content for the University website.

The IS department is responsible for managing software, data, and electronic information within the University. Its specific responsibilities include the development, customization, deployment, and continual improvement of information systems across the University and its campuses. The department handles the resolution of system issues, as well as the updating and upgrading of systems and application software. It also provides systems administration and user support services.

Additionally, the IS department develops applications and solutions for both internal and external use, monitors the performance of key information systems, and performs performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality. It is also tasked with documenting systems, including technical, user, and training documentation, and developing user manuals. Other core functions include managing the email system and user accounts, overseeing website engineering and development, and providing both technical and user training on systems and applications.
