Chair of Department

The RCT Department is responsible for the development and review of ICT policies and strategies for the University, development of proposals and concept papers for external projects and funding, conduct of cutting-edge research and presentation of research papers, nurturing and packaging of research outcomes into valuable products to meet the demands of the national and international community and ICT capacity building for the University and the National economy. The department is a strategic revenue generator for the University through ICT research, consultancy and training.

Anthony Muhoho

The RCT department is responsible for overseeing people, policy, and processes within the University. Specifically, the department is tasked with the development and review of ICT policies and strategies to guide the University’s technological direction. It also plays a key role in developing proposals and concept papers aimed at securing external projects and funding. In addition, the department conducts cutting-edge research and presents research papers, while also nurturing and transforming research outcomes into valuable products that address the needs of both national and international communities. The RCT department supports ICT capacity building for the University and contributes to the broader national economy. Furthermore, it facilitates key events such as the JKUAT Tech Expo, Open Days, and Exhibitions, which showcase innovation and promote engagement with stakeholders.
