The Grants Office

The Directorate of Grants Management was established in June 2019 under the Vice Chancellor’s office.

JKUAT’s vision is to be a University of global excellence in Training, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for development. The establishment of directorate is in line with this vision, JKUAT’s strategic plan and Vision Plan (2013 – 2027) and the Vice Chancellor’s blue print for making JKUAT a research university.

The Grants Office will enable identification of sources of funding, mobilize staff members to respond to call for proposals, ensure prudent and ethical management of donor funds, and enhance communication between JKUAT and its donors. The office ensures efficient and timely utilization of funds as per the project work plan and enhances sustainable relationships with our development partner.

The grants office is also a one stop centre for accessing information and resources relating to funded projects in JKUAT. The creation of grants management office largely borrows from best practices in most research universities worldwide.
