OBJECTIVES
1. To increase research grants to the JKUAT scientists
2. To strengthen accountability in management of university grants and enhances compliance with statutory and contractual requirements
3. To improve the procurement procedures and reduce the turnaround time for accessing research funds
4. To ensure that at least 10% administrative costs are retained by the grants office
5. Draw a contract with PI on the funds and their utilization
6. Custodian of the original contract signed between the VC and the contracting authority
