ALISO was established to support the Alumni Association so that the Association can play its role effectively in the University.

‘To develop programs that enhance the relationship between the alumni, international students, and JKUAT for Mutual Benefit through communication, information, involvement, recognition, and engagement of the alumni and international students’
MANDATE
The mandate of the Alumni and International Student’s office is as follows:
- Coordinate Alumni Matters at JKUAT,
- Support international students at JKUAT.
Core Values
An ALISO core value constitutes the fundamental bedrock beliefs that drive the Directorate. These beliefs are essential and must be upheld because they make the directorate visionary for the defined standards of behavior that define its culture. ALISO therefore upholds the following core values

ALISO shall uphold respect dearly to all its stakeholders

ALISO shall be honest, truthful, and reliable in providing services to its customers.

ALISO will maintain a culture of transparency in dealing with the Alumni, staff, students, and all its stakeholders.

ALISO shall endeavor to be accountable to all its stakeholders in carrying out its mandate and in the use of all resources at its disposal

ALISO shall uphold the norm of efficiency in all its service delivery and in performing its activities
- Philosophy
To enhance the strong relationship between Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and her alumni and international students clear principles and policies have to be developed. The principles and policies must be publicized and practical measures taken for implementation.
