Board of Alumni Affairs
The Board of Alumni Affairs (BAA) is one of the organs set up to enhance alumni relations at the University.
The Board of Alumni Affairs (BAA) is one of the organs set up to enhance alumni relations at the University. The Board has the following membership structure
• A Chairman appointed by the Vice Chancellor to serve for two years;
• Five (5) Committee members appointed by the Vice Chancellor to serve for two years;
•The Director of Alumni and International Students Office (ALISO) who is an ex-officio member and serves as the secretary to the Board;
The Board is answerable to the University Senate in respect of alumni affairs in the University and in particular, has responsibility over the following matters:
• Formulation of policies for the effective functioning of alumni program in the university;
• Advising the university on how to engage with the alumni association for maximum benefit to the university;
• Vetting of aspirants to the elected offices of the association;
• Advising the Director of Alumni and International Students Office (ALISO) on the day-to-day operations of the office; and
• Advising the Alumni Association Officials for effective interaction with the University.
