Deputy Vice Chancellor Research, Production and Extension

The Research, Production and Extension (RPE) Division, co-ordinates research, production and extension activities which includes co-ordination of exhibitions, workshops and seminars; soliciting  for research funds, and production and extension. The division also facilitates income generating activities, besides managing the bookshop and Jomo Kenyatta Academy.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jackson Kwanza, is the head of this division. Before being appointed as Acting DVC RPE in August 2022, the professor from JKUAT’s Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics held a number of management positions. Notably, he served as Principal of JKUAT Karen Campus for 9 years, a role that further honed his leadership expertise.
