The National irrigation acceleration platform (NIAP) is a platform which aim to improve interaction and collaboration between stakeholders, strengthen collaboration and linkages among people and organizations involved in the irrigation innovation and development process, with the explicit objective to facilitate this multi-stakeholder interaction to find and scale-out effective smart water solutions (SWS). This is a place where the supply and demand side can meet and interact, where innovation can be initiated and supported, and where the private sector, farming communities and actors of the enabling environment can engage to analyse problems and propose strategies that work.
