The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a farewell ceremony for the final year students on Friday 5th August 2016. The event offered a last opportunity for the members of staff and the students to interact and share their experiences. On Wednesday 3rd August 2016, the fifth year students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering presented their design projects. The students presented orally what they had done, and then later demonstrated the prototypes they fabricated from their designs. These projects assist the students to translate the theories and principles into real products that are relevant in today’s world. On Tuesday 2nd August 2016, staff members and postgraduate students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering were sensitized on the Library Electronic Resources. The three-hour training was facilitated by University Library Staff; Mr. R. O. Midigo and Mrs. Mary Wachira. During the training, participants were taken through the available electronic information resources which JKUAT has subscribed to for use in teaching and research.
