On October 31, 2012, twenty-two Marine Engineering students graduated as cadets at a colorful ceremony that was held at the National Youth Service NYS training center in Gilgil. This was the second batch of cadets to graduate after successfully completing the month long training. NYS deputy director general, Mr. Muchiri, was the guest of honour.
