All students are required to undertake this venture with the help of supervisors. The process involves individual and team work whose outcome have led to innovation of new products. The climax involves presentation of the projects to a panel of experts and supervisors.  JKUAT IT students  are leading talents and employees  for most companies in Kenya and abroad.

On 22/04/2015 and 23/04/2015 the department organized presentations for final year and continuing students. Expertise in code programming, interface design, database programming, apps coding and other skills was displayed.   The supervisors who work hand in hand with the students give guidance as well as teaching modern skills in programming.
