K4 life classes will start on 5th July 2014

The next K4 life classes will start on 5th July 2014, this was announced yesterday by Chairman IT and the Seven Seas team during a sensitization forum used to select students who will participate. It was noted that every year JKUAT IT Department produce more than 50% of graduates in Kenya. This has been attributed by partnerships with IT  firms like Seven Seas and frequent revising the syllabus. Female Trio Wins Safaricom Technovation Challenge

Three JKUAT female students Tuesday May 27, 2014 won the Safaricom Technovation Challenge, for developing a mosquito repellent application dubbed Quitmosquito. The Second year Computer Science majors comprising Pauline Mbabu, Caroline Kimathi and Nancy Adhiambo emerged top with their innovation that employs ultrasonic sound frequencies to cause stress to mosquitoes, hence keeping them at bay. The App also integrates a music player for entertainment and to minimize user irritation at low frequencies.
