Retiring staff

(i) The retirement age shall be sixty (60) years.
(ii) A staff member may retire voluntarily at the age of 50 years.
(iii) A member of staff who reaches the retirement age shall be required to cease duty on the next 30th June following the date that he attains retirement age.
(iv) Prior to retirement the University shall issue a retiring employee a written notice at least twelve (12) months before their effective retirement date.
(v) Upon retirement the University shall with immediate effect, pay to the retiring employee(s), all his/her terminal benefits/dues, as stipulated in the law.

On exit, the department carries our an Exit Survey through the Exit Questionnaire
