The department encourages the applications for undergraduate and graduates students in the department . There are possibilities for short term visits. DAAD through the IAASTE programme annually sponsors graduate students for a one semester practical attachment. The department offers or facilitate in conjunction with the International offices (ALISO http://www.jkuat.ac.ke/alumni/) students accommodation and arrange for field visit to students hosted in the department. Students are encouraged to apply directly or through the ALISO office . The department is planning to start Study Abroad Fairs to inform students on study abroad opportunities that are available to JKUAT students.

I am citizen of Rwanda, employed in Rwanda Agriculture Board, department of research, in the tea research program, I am interested in post-graduates studies,especially I want to pursue a master program in your department of Horticulture. I have a Bachelor’s degree in crops production and Horticulture, obtained back in 2010 from the National University of Rwanda. I should have done this master before if I had had means in terms of finance.
