JKUAT is participating in the Fifth African Education Week at a Cape Town Hotel organized by the RUFORUM as the 5th Biennal conference from the 17th – 21st of October 2016. The conference theme is “Linking Agricultural Universities with Civil society, the Private Sector, Governments and other stakeholders in support of Agricultural Development in Africa’. The JKUAT VC, who is also the Chair of the RUFORUM Board, emphasized on the universities to enure the vision of RUFORUM of Transforming agriculture in Africa through innovative research, Educational and training approaches. The Education sector need to be more connected to the new challenges facing rural communities and need to build capacity of young people to be part of the transformation of the Agricultural sector.
