- To establish, develop and improve training programmes in nursing and health sciences
- To coordinate effective and efficient classroom teaching, assessment and examination of undergraduate and post graduate students
- To coordinate and supervise students’ research activities
- To equip student nurses with the requisite skills and attitudes in creative and critical thinking and communication skills with the aim of enhancing delivery of quality healthcare and providing health care leadership
