Second, third and final year undergraduate students in the Department of Food Science and Technology are set to report for their new academic year beginning on 10th May 2021 to 27th August 2021. The university has spelt out a blended mode of learning (mixed online and face-face) in line with Ministry of Health COVID-19 containment measures for the upcoming May-August, 2021 semester. The second year students have been on long holiday. On the other hand, their third and fourth year counterparts were engaged in industrial attachment across the country during the holiday period; where the students had opportunity to deploy and advance their classroom acquired knowledge and skills. The students now report for a more intense academic year, where besides attending normal lectures, the third and fourth year students will be required to develop and implement their research project proposals respectively, in close collaboration with the department lecturers.
