JKUAT @ 20!

JKUAT was started in 1981 as a middle level technical college through bilateral technical cooperation between the government of Kenya and the Government of Japan. It became a constituent college in 1988 before assuming autonomy through an Act of Parliament in 1994. To respond to the new aspirations of the Universities Act 2012, the JKUAT was chartered by former President Kibaki, early 2013. Food Additives Workshop

The department organised a high level Food Additives Workshop at the Intercontinental hotel in June 2014 to discuss the food industry on the use of additives, safety and regulations. The event attracted over 100 participants among them from food and nutrition industry operators, Scientific experts, representatives of Kenya Bureau of Standards and Ministry of Health. The vent was graced by the PS, Ministry of Health. Welcome to the department of Food Science and Technology.
