Kwale School Adopts JKUAT Plan to Improve Performance

A primary school in Kwale has adopted a 5 year strategic plan developed by a public university to address the menace of teenage pregnancies which is a key contributor to poor performance in rural schools .Kichaka Simba School Headteacher Japhet Matingi said “The plan developed by JKUAT experts will go along way in actualizing the vision of the school of being a centre of leadership performance and excellence”.

“The concept seeks to interrogate ways to holster staff members and pupils admissions from current 204 to 500 by 2023.The 2019-2023 schools strategic plan is to see students followed up through continuous community mentor-ship to ensure long term objective of educating students are fulfilled” said Matingi.Speaking when he was delivering the plan at the school the Mombasa Catholic church Archbishop Martin Kivuva called on parents and teachers to empower pupils with skills that will enable them achieve excellent performance .JKUAT Mombasa Campus Director Dr. Fridah Simba said “the Strategic plan allows  for more efficiency in all aspects of management”.
