Geoffrey Githinji, Campus Administrator

The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology’s Mombasa CBD Campus is located in the Central Business District in Mombasa city. This is an ideal location for an institution of higher learning that draws its student population from different parts of the country. It’s easily accessible from all directions and secure throughout the day and at night.

The campus has been voted twice as the most preferred training institution within the Coast region by the Kenya national chamber of commerce and industry. This endorsement is befitting and blows our trumpet loud enough for those seeking higher learning opportunities to hear. Our vision is to be a campus of global excellence in training, research, and innovation. We are making giant strides in accomplishing our vision and mission.

Our programs are affordable and tailor-made for part-time and full-time students. We have evening and weekend classes for those engaged in employment and would want to further their studies. We have three semesters in a calendar year meaning that you can plan your study program without fear or worry of disruption. We have availed quality teaching and learning resources to enhance our students’ learning experience on campus. This has ensured that we train and equip our students to meet the evolving needs of our dynamic world. We also collaborate with the main campus and other campuses as well as other institutions of higher learning in the region. We also have qualified and dedicated teaching staff who are experienced and skilled in their areas of specialization. They are supported by an able team of very energetic and friendly support staff.

Our student population which is registered for Doctor of Philosophy, Masters, Diploma, and Certificate courses offered in a conducive environment is diverse. Students choose their leaders through a transparent and democratic process and every student has an equal chance of leading others. The student leaders are facilitated through leadership training, workshops, and seminars to harness their leadership skills.

We operate on an open-door policy which ensures that any student who has an issue is sorted out as fast as possible. There also exists a real-time interaction between the management and the student population on social media and this has cultivated a cordial relationship with the students.

    • Hi Simiyu, yes it is possible, youll have to get a transfer letter from our campus.Though ad advise you otherwise since a project is something you can do away from the campus, you could just come during presentations or when you are to meet your supervisor instead of transferring.Thank you.
