The following degree courses are currently on offer at JKUAT Mombasa Campus both in full time and part-time  modes:

  • Bachelor of  Supply Chain Management(Options: shipping/marine Management, clearing and Forwarding, Transport/logistics)
  • Bachelor of Procurement and Contract Management
  • Bachelor of Commerce(options:Accounting,Finance,Banking,Marketing,Human Resource and Administration)
  • Bachelor of Business Information Technology
  • Bachelor of Science in  Information Technology
  • Bachelor Degree in Project Management

General Eligibility for Bachelors Programmes
Mean grade C+ in KCSE with C in Mathematics and C in English /Kiswahili OR KACE certificate with minimum of two principal passes and a minimum of credit pass in mathematics at KCE OR Diploma with a credit pass or professional certificate holder and diploma in a relevant area from an institution recognized by the university senate.

Exemptions:Holders of diploma with at least a credit pass or professional certificate holder in relevant field from an institution recognized by the university senate are eligible for a one academic year exemption.

Course Duration
Undergraduate programmes run for 4 academic years inclusive of research work.

Intakes
The campus admits students thrice per year in January, May and September. The campus runs a trimester systems, which reduces the total calendar time spent by students in the university by up to one-third.

How to apply 
Get the Forms from the main website, fill the forms  and on each form attach the following things: 1 passport size photo, 1copy of KCSE certificate, 1copy of any other academic certificate, 1 copy of Identification card. An application fee is 1, 500 payable to KCB Account number: 1107586933, Account name: JKUAT Msa Campus, Branch: Treasury Square.

    Am willing to pursue Bachelor of Science in Public health part time classes i.e weekend classes only. plz is it possible?

    • Those already admitted are doing part time of 5:30- 8:30 Pm. Weekend only arrangement has to be from Friday at 2 pm to 8:40 pm. Saturday and Sunday from 8 am 5 pm. For more information please come and discuss with the department’s chair.

    Am interested in joining your university.

    In the next 6 weeks I will be moving out of the country?Currently am waiting to sit exams for a diploma course at KIM, final stage in March. My interest is in supply chain management with the transport and logistics option or in the supplies management as I see earlier you advice they are similar.

    • David your son did well but he is not eligible to do a degree course so our advice is that you enroll him for a bridging maths course after which he can be eligible to enroll for a degree course of choice ,the bridging maths course is 3 months and the fee is 32,000 our next intake is may 2015.Thank you.

    • Year I entry: KCSE Mean of C+ and C in Mathematics and English. OR KACE of 2 Principal & 1 subsidiary passes, and a
      credit pass in Mathematics at KCE.

      Year II entry: Holders of JKUAT Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management with Credit & above will be
      exempted for the first Academic Year.

    • Did you do a certificate course then Diploma and advanced to Higher Diploma? because we will need to see your progression to higher diploma before you are considered for Bachelors.Thank you.

    • Hi Faruq yes you can join with your KCSE results you are eligible.You can apply for September Intake.The campus does not have hostels but there are Hostels near the campus and around Mombasa CBD too.

    • Hi yes you can do the course (Bsc.In supply chain management) but with no exemptions.For BCOMM one must have done a business course.

    • The requirements are KCSE Grade C with at least C- in Mathematics and English OR KCE Div II OR Credit pass in any relevant certificate with at least KCSE Grade C-in Mathematics and English OR KCE Div III with atleast Credit in Mathematics and English.
