Mr. Abanti Cyrus now Dr. Abanti Cyrus has been the Associate Chairman in the Information Technology and Mathematics Department at JKUAT Kisii CBD campus, and he has served in that capacity since the establishment of the department.
He started his Ph.D in Information Technology in Sept, 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Miph Musoke and Dr. Gilbert Maiga both from Nkumba University in Uganda where he recently graduated from on 25th Oct. 2014.
His Area of Study is Biometric Use in Health Informatics. He managed developed a model for acceptance of Biometric Based Health Informatics. The focus was on health workers personality traits whereby he used the Big Five (5) personality traits. After the entire process, he developed a model which was called BioBHI model, and which still is an extension of the technology acceptance model.
