JKUAT Kisii CBD campus takes pride in producing Miss Tourism Kisii County. Ms Judy Marani Kwamboka is also a student at Kisii CBD campus Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology where she is undertaking a Bachelors degree in Public Health on her final year and final semester.
As she tells her story; it was her first time ever to participate in that event and also to emerge a winner as Miss Tourism Kisii County. The strange thing about it all is that, she was convinced to participate by the recruiting agents just by the road side. In fact, she only had a maximum of 4 hours to decide whether she would be a contestant or not. It had never rang to her mind that she would one day be a participant in an event like this one in her life but against all odds she made it. Speaking of odds, she reckons of her days in the academy which took a week before they went for the finals; were not an easy road for her. Though tough were the days in the academy she could still single out her grandmother who offer unlimited support to her during the whole process till her
coronation as Miss Tourism Kisii County.
She also sends her sincere gratitude to her parents, friends and JKUAT Kisii CBD fraternity for the immense support she received that gave her courage to journey on to success.
This is her message to all; “take up on your opportunity once it presents itself your way, exploit them and give them your full attention. Opportunity comes only once.”
She was the only contestant from JKUAT Kisii CBD campus but was accompanied by two more contestants who were from JKUAT Main Campus – Juja, namely: Celine Mochache and Mercy Bosibori. Judy Kwamboka qualified from the Nyaribari Chache Sub-County amongst other 10 Sub-Counties which fielded their contestants for this precious crown. In the finals, she emerged the best among the 10 contestants who were in the competition.
Congratulations for the award and we salute you, Judy Marani Kwamboka for making us proud.
