The campus demonstrated its commitment to high standards and continuous improvement by celebrating success. The campus adopted a culture of recognizing the best-performing departments every year. This is to acknowledge the team members’ hard work, dedication, and achievements. The principal Prof. Hellen Mberia acknowledged the culture will foster a positive work environment, employee engagement and enhance job satisfaction. She also supports the vice as it highlights effective practices and successful strategies, providing a model for other departments to emulate.
The departments were assessed on a set of clear objectives as formulated by the committee team. Some evaluation criteria used included: Service delivery, Teamwork, Integrity, organization and cleanliness, and professionalism.
Dr. Frida Simba emphasized the benefits of recognizing the best-performing departments and encouraged other departments to continue working hard and doing their best at all times. Dr. Simba stated that recognition creates a competitive yet collaborative atmosphere where departments are motivated to excel and support one another.
The drive strengthens the organization’s reputation, attracting talented individuals who seek a supportive and rewarding work environment. The Dean, School of Law, Dr. Aminga congratulated the principal for coming-up with this strategic idea to enhance organizational performance and competitiveness.
The Admissions department graced the occasion by emerging as the best-performing department of the year, followed by the Administration department as the First runners-up, and finally the ICT department as the Second runners-up.
