Jkuat Karen Campus held a workshop together with stakeholders to develop and review some of the curriculums hosted at the School of Business on 14/09/2023. They had successful collaborative and structured meetings aimed at evaluating and enhancing existing and new curriculums. The primary goal was to gather input, feedback, and insights from various stakeholders involved in the educational process, such as teachers, administrators, students, parents, CEOs and Directors from various institutions, technocrats in the industry, and community members.
The workshop was led by Karen Campus Principal Prof. Hellen Mberia. Prof. Mberia started by introducing her faculty members, followed by the stakeholders. She then proceeded by explaining the purpose and goals of the courses, the structure, schedule, and ground rules for participation.
Dr. Olweny presented an overview of the proposed new courses, including their scope, objectives, content, and instructional methods.
Stakeholders were encouraged to share their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions regarding the tabled courses.
The new courses discussed were:
- MSc. Health Communication
- Bachelor of Science Revenue Administration and Technology.
- Bachelor of Science Communication, Media and Marketing.
- Bachelor of Science E-Business Management and Entrepreneurship
The principal was grateful for the overwhelming attendance and assured the attendees that the committee team would consider all their thoughts and comments. From the discussions with stakeholders, the principal was convinced of an effective way to ensure that curriculum decisions are informed by diverse perspectives and data-driven insights, ultimately leading to the continuous improvement of educational and academic programs for the current market and industry.
