Minimum Entry Requirement:
KCSE C+ (plus) Mean grade. In addition, applicants must have either of the qualifications listed below:

Or – K.A.C.E. with minimum a minimum of 2 (two) Principal passes in Mathematics and Biology.
CREDIT TRANSFER:
Applicants who have successfully completed one or two year(s) of B.Sc. In HIM & I level study or its equivalent in any Institution recognized by the University senate may be allowed to transfer to the JKUAT BSc. Programme, and shall be considered for appropriate credits based on the years of study in the institution(s) they are transferring from.
EXEMPTIONS:
Applicants who hold Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the JKUAT Senate may be admitted to second year of study.
Mode of study: Full time and part time. Part time classes hold on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Course duration: 4 (four) academic years.
Tuition fees per academic year: Kshs. 212,208/= (Two hundred and twelve thousand, two hundred and eight shillings)
