There will be a workshop on public health emergency preparedness and response jointly organized by Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology,  University of Wales (UK), and UK Health Protection agency (HPA).

Objectives of the workshop

To share experience on emergency preparedness and response.

To identify current strengths and barriers on emergency preparedness and response.

To suggest how to develop a regional framework on emergency preparedness and response.

To raise awareness on the role of goverment departments, community groups and academic institutions before, during and after public health emergencies.
