Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has significantly improved its web presence globally. According to the 2012 last quarter Webometrics rankings released in January 2013, the University has moved 808 positions upwards globally, 15 positions in Africa and 2 positions nationally.
The web rankings are based on presence, impact, openness and excellence of higher learning institutions in the world. A total of 21, 250 institutions participated in the rankings. This remarkable performance is a clear indication that JKUAT is on course to attain the annual target of improving by 1000 positions globally by June 2013.
JKUAT has implemented various measures to ensure effective interaction with stakeholders within and beyond the Kenyan borders through its website which continues to gain popularity. Read more
