The orientation week for close to 2000 new students ended with the address to the students by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mabel Imbuga, Friday May 11, 2012 in which she urged the freshers to take advantage of the opportunity to actualize their academic dreams for nation building. Freshmen Stream to Campus

Close to 2, 000 new students reported to campus, Monday May 7, 2012 to commence various undergraduate degree, diploma and certificate programmes  on offer during the Academic Year. The School of Human Resource Development has attracted 679 students followed by the Faculty of Science and the Institute of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases that are expected to host 399 and 347 students respectively. The remaining students are enrolled in the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology, College of Engineering and Technology, School of Architecture and Building Sciences and the Faculty of Agriculture.
