Somalia Speaker hosts JKUAT delegation

The speaker of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia Dr. Joari has invited Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology to play an active role in helping rebuild his Country’s education sector.

Dr. Joari extended the invitation to the University when he met a JKUAT’s delegation Monday July 22, 2013 that paid him a courtesy call at his National Assembly office in Somalia.

The delegation led by JKUAT’s Registrar Mr. Antony Kiswii was in Somalia to kick-start collaboration with University of Somalia, and Savannah Institute of Public Service.

JKUAT intends to run bachelors and masters courses with the two institutions through its Mombasa Campus.
Others in the delegation to Somalia included; the Director of JKUAT’s Mombasa Campus Dr. Fred Mugambi, the University’s SHRD Associate Dean, Dr. Willy Muturi, and Dr. Muikamba Kaibui from the University’s RPE. They were accompanied to meet the speaker by University of Somalia’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohammed Abdiweli and Savannah Institute of Public Service’s Eng. Hussein Omar.
