SoMMME 1ST EVER FUN DAY

The SoMMME 1st ever fun day took place on Friday 17th May, 2019 at the JKUAT field. The event was sponsored by the university, members of staff and students within the school. The event attracted over 400 participants who competed in ten activities among them football matches, athletics, eating competition and bike riding. There were five teams; four were for students from the four departments and the fifth team comprising of staff members. SoMMME Issues Certificates to Class Representatives

The school of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Materials Engineering today held a meeting with class representatives. The purpose of the meeting was to issue certificates to the class representatives for their devoted service to fellow students as well as to discuss matters pertaining to academics. During the meeting, students were given opportunity to raise some of the challenges they encounter. The Dean and Chairmen of departments  also gave some advice to the students and urged them to be role models to other students.

DAAD PhD In-Country/In-region Scholarship 2019/2020

The school of Mechanical, Manufacturing and Materials Engineering won the DAAD call to host In-country/In-region scholarships on PhD in Mechanical Engineering. The admitted students will be enrolled for the PhD in Mechanical Engineering at JKUAT main campus in September 2019. Incountry-In-region-JKUAT-DAAD-scholarship AfDB Scholarship The school also won the AfDB call to build human capacity by sponsoring the training of 12 MSc and 15 PhD students in Mechanical Engineering. The first group of students began their classes in January 2019.

Special/Supplementary Examinations for students who completed 2017/2018 academic  year  in August 2018   will begin on OCTOBER 22, 2018. Click on the link below to view the examination timetable.
