Following the orientation of new students at the college level, the School of Medicine staged an induction program for the new students pursuing the various programs offered in the school that includes ; MB.ChB, BSc. The College of Health Sciences held an rigorous orientation for the new students on 9/09/2019. The new students were congratulated and welcomed to the college by Prof. Kariuki who represented the Principal. The College received about 799 out of the total 6951 new students who are joining JKUAT for the 2019/2020 academic year. There was a bee hive of activities during the JKUAT open day on 6th September 2019 . In a speech read on behalf of the Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology’s (JKUAT) was commended for it’s contribution towards innovation development and dissemination in the country, a role that has helped the country rank high in Africa. The School of Medicine held the first seminar presentations for students undertaking Masters in Physiology on 29th August 2019. The students presented their research projects to the members of the faculty that included all the relevant specialists from the College of Health Sciences. The aim of the presentation was to allow the faculty to critique the presentations and make recommendations that will enhance quality of the research reports and ensure that all the guidelines have been adhered to.
