Biography: Jackline Mwangi is an Assistant Lecturer in the School of Law, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Criminal Justice, with specialization in International Anti-Corruption and Anti-Money Laundering Law, from the University of the Western Cape. She has been a Law Lecturer since 2013 and is also an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Jackline Mwangi has previously provided consultancy services to One Source Financial Services Limited in relation to fraud investigations of public officials of a company listed in the Nairobi Securities Exchange. She is a Member of the Law Society of Kenya, and an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Jackline Mwangi was awarded the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) grant for her LLM degree. She has presented papers in international and local conferences, including in the 3rd Institute for Security Studies Conference held in October 2012 in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she presented a paper titled ‘Assessing the scope of legal professional privilege (LPP) in combating money laundering through the legal profession in Kenya.’

- The problem of trade-based money laundering and its hindrance of the realization of the right to development in Ghana and Angola;
- Emerging legal issues surrounding bioinformatics in Kenya.
