Research remains our Priority says Prof. Mabel Imbuga

The vice chancellor Prof. Mabel Imbuga has reminded researchers at the University to redouble their effort in the enterprise of research in the coming year to accelerate JKUAT‘s transformation plan to a more research based University.

Speaking at the end of year party for staffers, Friday December 16, 2011 the vice chancellor praised the entire JKUAT workforce for their immense contribution that she said had seen JKUAT record tremendous progress during the year.

She cited some of the landmark gains that JKUAT had recorded during the year, including JKUAT victory through a competitive bid to host the Pan African University, and the location at JKUAT of Africa wide multimillion science and technology incubator that she said will mainly focus on sorghum and its value addition products research. The luncheon was also addressed by Deputy Vice Chancellors Prof. Esther Kahangi and Prof. Francis M. Njeruh.
