Delphine Nyaboke, a fourth year student pursuing Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, has bagged the Italy based GOlab Ambassador for Inclusion 2019 edition.
Nyaboke is set to travel to Italy on October19-23, 2019, to share her life journey having endured a difficult time while growing up in Kibera slums during her primary and secondary education. She will have the chance to speak at a huge audience in Italy.
Her nomination to be the Inclusion Ambassador, gives her an opportunity to present motivational talks based on her journey and her passion for coding. Her inspirational talks will be captured and recorded at the Go lab’s social network channels.
“We are offering you the chance to come to Italy at GOLab and have a talk to tell everybody your story. We would like you to tell us how your coding passion was born, how did you manage to get through the many difficulties you’ve met,” read the invitation from GOLab.
On another development, in June 2019, Nyaboke was among five female students from JKUAT who won a scholarship to represent the University at the world’s largest gathering of innovative women in technology in Orlando, United States. Read more here.
